8000SX Now in its 3rd generation form, the 8000SX is the foundation of RTI's technology. The 8000SX brings you a new level of ultrasonic detectability. The system is a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) based Ultrasonic Rail Flaw Analysis system. It is a quantum leap in technology and is radically different to any Flaw Detection System on the market today. The 3rd generation of the 8000SX system is now incorporated into all of the RTI current ultrasonic testing systems which readily detect 300 micron reflectors in rails. Further information on the 8000SX System... All the RTI Rail testing vehicles now use the 3rd generation 8000SX technology and are based on 4WD platforms. These systems can also be fitted to rail bound vehicles. The technology is small enough to fit into a Daihatsu Terios (one of RTI’s narrow gauge test vehicles). These vehicles use a single operator, test up to 40km/hr and offer flexibility combined with unprecedented detectability. Examples of vehicles fitted with the 8000SX system. RTI has lowered mobilisation cost significantly by introducing a portable test carriage which can be flown anywhere in the world – even in a light aircraft. You can now be offered the same standard of testing quality provided to some of the worlds most fastidious railways – especially where the track length to be tested is relatively short. It is now possible to both measure and monitor inclusions economically and effectively. Handheld Weld Testers 805SX Weld & Rail Integrity Tester The 805SX is a portable handheld ultrasonic tester designed for detection of flaws in welds & steel – a single channel version of the equipment used in the RTI 8000SX rail test vehicles. It has the capability to detect very small reflectors combined with smart interpretation software to make it usable by field crews. The 805SX is user friendly and only requires a basic understanding of the principles of ultrasonic inspection to inspect and size defective welds with a high degree of accuracy and a quality assurance of inspection, while maintaining standards and producing consistent results. |
