The compact design allows the entire 8000SX system to fit inside a Toyota Landcruiser. This not only allows the vehicle to get on and off track with ease, but also allows it to travel in some of the harshest and remote conditions.
However the system is not limited to just 4x4 landcruiser, the system can beadapted to fit any rail bound or hi-rail vehicle.
As well as a road rail vehicle, RTI also offers an ultrasonic test vehicle (UTV) which is a rail bound system, that is pulled by a locomotive.
RTI designed and commisioned a UTV for MTR in Hong Kong Read the article.
The Inline system is based upon RTI's 5th generation 8000SX technology, and brings you a new level of ultrasonic detectability.
It integrates into the rail production line and performs ultrasonic rail flaw analysis of rails for internal defects post manufacturing.
The 805SX is a portable handheld ultrasonic tester designed for detection of flaws in steel – a single channel version of the equipment used in the RTI 8000SX rail test vehicles.
The 805SX is user friendly and only requires a basic understanding of the principles of ultrasonics, to inspect and size defects with a high degree of accuracy and quality assurance, while maintaining standards and producing consistent results.
RTI’s Rail View technology captures high resolution images of surface defects, which in some cases, cannot be detected using traditional ultrasonic methods. Rail View can be fitted to either our road rail vehicles or UTVs.
